A Native of South Africa, CLEMENT received a natural music education in the community church and at age 16 realised
he had an insatiable need and passion for music.
He graduated from being the lead singer, fronting a mass choir and gradually took on the director responsibilities and
soon fell in love with the drum set. His inevitable progression from M.A.P.P to the University of Cape Town’s music
program introduced him to various Music courses comprising of Theory, Arrangement, Aural and Harmony including
Drum Set studies with Kevin Gibson and Graduate Studies with world renowned Efrain Toro.
As a multi-award winning artist he is the recipient of the Nelson Mandela-Harvard fellowship. He
is extremely passionate about MUSIC education and has performed or recorded with several
leading artists including Hilton Schilder, Danilo Perez, Andreas Lovren, Churchill Naude, Riku
Latti, Mandla Mlangeni, Abraham Mennen . . . . . . . .
