Dala Flat Music – RockArt Future Cape – Andre Manuel

RockArt’s seminal album Future Cape, is one of the first to successfully capture the nuance of the traditional Cape and jazz sound, within an electronic context. Released in 2006, and having gone through a few configurations, this rendition of the RockArt concept, sees the late Alex van Heerden, beautifully and sensitively providing the electronic aspects, to preserve Hilton Schilder’s compositions, in a futuristic and lasting way.

The album is a perfect blend of acoustic instrumentation, with tasteful and delicate, electronic production that showcases the virtuosity and magic chemistry of the two artists’ long musical journey.
